Turkey Burger Bowl

We knowwww I love a bowl night. It’s always fun to do something bar style but usually I use some sort of grain as the base. This time, however, I used shaved brussels sprouts as the base and went with a turkey burger flavor combo. The result was 3 helpings for my beau – yup, even with a very veggie-forward base.

Start by sautéing ground turkey with chopped onion, a few dashes of worchestershire, garlic, onion powder, and celery salt. Once it’s browned, set aside. Then use the same pan to sauté shredded brussels sprouts in olive oil with some salt and pepper. Now it’s all about your toppings. I used shredded swiss cheese, chopped pickles, chopped tomato, chopped avocado, and comeback sauce. (Comeback sauce is mayo, ketchup, hot sauce, worchestershire, garlic powder, and black pepper.)

I’m not totally sure what made this so good. I truly didn’t even miss the bun but got all those burger bar vibes. The presentation might be unconventional, but the flavor is all basic, good quality turkey burger.
